Institute Directory
Your organization's permanent list of institutes, used by tournament registration and road races.
The Institute Directory is your organization's permanent list of schools and colleges. Each real institute appears once and keeps the same record year after year, so results, participation and history can be compared across tournaments and races.
Open it from Institute Directory in the sidebar (org admin only).
Where the list is used
- Tournament registration: institutes pick themselves from a dropdown instead of typing their name (see Institute Registration).
- Road races: runners from your institutes pick their institute when registering (see Road Races).
Adding institutes
One at a time
- Click + Add institute.
- Enter the official name (exactly as it should appear on certificates), an optional short name, type, affiliation, district and city.
- Leave Member institute ticked for your organization's own institutes. Untick it for an outside institute.
Bulk upload
Upload a CSV or Excel file with a name column, and optionally short_name, type (school / college / unit / other), affiliation, district, city and member (yes / no). Names already in the list are skipped and reported, never overwritten. Click Download the template next to the upload box for a ready-made file with the right column headings and two example rows to replace.

Why the first registration is still reviewed: anyone can pick a name from a dropdown. The first time a login claims a listed institute, you approve it by hand. From then on that login is confirmed for the institute and its later registrations are approved automatically. Each institute's page shows which logins are confirmed.

Click an institute to see its logins (confirmed or not) and its full tournament history. Use Edit to correct details, or Deactivate to hide it from registration dropdowns. Institutes are never deleted, because past registrations point at them.
