Tournament Setup
Create a tournament: dates, registration deadline, venues, entry fee, rules documents.
Who uses this:
Org admin
Host institute
A tournament is the container for everything else: events, institutes, teams, fixtures, fees and reports all belong to one tournament. Every other feature needs one to exist first.
Who can create one
- Org admin — always.
- Host institute — only after the org admin has granted it hosting rights (see Institute Registration). A host can only see and manage tournaments it created itself.
Create a tournament
- Open Tournament Setup in the sidebar and click + New tournament.
- Fill in the Tournament master card:
- Tournament name, Season / year, Level (Inter-school, Inter-college, University, State).
- Start date and End date. Auto-scheduling only places matches between these dates.
- Registration deadline. The tournament is listed on the public "Browse open tournaments" page until this date.
- Hosting institute. This is the display name printed on documents and the public site.
- Venues: add every ground, court or hall you'll use, with type and capacity. You need at least one venue before matches can be scheduled.
- Optional now, editable later:
- Documents & notes: brochure/circular PDF, rules PDF, and the officials & committee list.
- Entry fee: one flat amount per institute (see Fees & Logistics).
- Cross-event eligibility: tournament-wide limits (see Eligibility rules).
- Public microsite: leave unpublished until you're ready (see Public Microsite).
- Click Create tournament.
After creating it
From the Tournament Setup list, each tournament row links to:
- Games & Events — your next step.
- Institute Registration — the registration link to share, and the approval queue.
- Edit — change anything above.
Sidebar shortcuts such as Games & Events and Fixtures / Draw always open your newest tournament. To work on an older one, go through Tournament Setup and pick it from the list.
Once this is done, you can move on to:
Games & Events, Institute Registration, Fees & Logistics, Officials Management
