Tournament Setup
An event is one competition inside the tournament — a single game, category and age group, for example Football · Boys · U-19 or 100 m · Girls · Open. Institutes enter teams per event, and draws, schedules and results are all per event.
Add an event
- Open Games & Events and click + Add game / event.
- Optional shortcut: Import from a previous tournament copies an event's settings (format, team size, rules) from one you've run before. You still choose the venue.
- Fill in Game name, Category (Boys / Girls / Mixed), Age group, Team size, Duration and Default venue.
- Choose the Format:
Format What happens Knockout A single-elimination bracket. Byes are added automatically when the team count isn't a power of 2, and winners advance automatically. League Round robin: every team plays every other team once, and a points table (2 points per win) decides the order. Heats (Athletics) Track or field events with heats, lanes, attempts and finals. See Athletics. Group + KO, Swiss Not supported yet — use Knockout or League instead. - For Heats, fill in the Athletics settings card (track/field, entry type, lanes, qualifiers, attempts).
- Set the Eligibility rules for this event (age, squad size, documents). Leave a field blank to skip that rule. See Eligibility rules.
- Click Add event.
The events list
Each event row links to everything that happens next for that event:
- Draw → Fixtures / Draw
- Schedule → Match Scheduling
- Results → Results & Scoring
- Athletics, instead of the three above, for Heats events
Add all events before sharing the registration link. Institutes can only enter teams in events that already exist.
